Being Black Healing Black
Client Challenge:
The banquet hall needed to accommodate a large altar area that would serve as the focal point for ceremonies while reflecting a unique African-inspired identity. The existing space felt barren, with blank walls, poor ambiance, and little character, making it difficult to create an inviting atmosphere for celebrations and events.
Energy Alchemist Approach:
We transformed the hall into a warm, welcoming oasis by reimagining the space through layered lighting, lush greenery, and intentional design elements inspired by African heritage. The expanded altar became a striking centerpiece, incorporating distinctive forms, textures, and natural materials that celebrate African origins while creating a memorable sense of place. The addition of plants and thoughtfully curated lighting softened the architecture, bringing life, warmth, and energy into the venue.

Working within budget, Nathaniel transformed a standard hotel conference space into an elegant sanctuary through thoughtful décor, color palettes, wellness spaces, and immersive design. His collaborative, intuitive approach created spaces that deeply supported the healing work of more than 75 national leaders, leading to a second engagement.”
The Real and The Radiant
Client Challenge:
Celebrate Holistic Underground's 10-year anniversary and Embrace's 5-year anniversary by transforming a large banquet hall into a warm, brand-aligned space that honored past accomplishments and inspired new beginnings.
Energy Alchemist Approach:
Created a cohesive photo booth using pieces sourced from the Embrace community and Energy Alchemist Design inventory, alongside a living room-inspired performance stage enhanced with plants, textiles, and florals to create a welcoming, story-driven atmosphere.

Healing Race Portal
Client Challenge:
The event required a cohesive design strategy across multiple spaces—including the opening area, wellness room, and banquet hall—to create a welcoming and intentional guest experience. While the venue itself was beautiful, each room needed to clearly communicate its purpose, support diverse programming, and foster an environment where attendees could feel connected, grounded, and fully engaged throughout the event.
Energy Alchemist Approach:
We focused on creating clarity, flow, and intentionality throughout the venue. In the opening space, we prioritized a large branded banner and thoughtful table placement to immediately orient guests and communicate the experiences available within the event. The wellness room was designed with an open floor plan to support yoga, wellness activations, and flexible movement while incorporating minimal seating to maintain spaciousness. The banquet hall carried forward the warm, biophilic design language with layered lighting, greenery, and intentional furnishings, creating an inviting atmosphere without a ceremonial altar. Every space was designed to feel cohesive, functional, and energetically aligned.
